What Does It Cost?
A large number of varying factors determine the cost of a web project.  It is impossible to state exactly what a web project would cost without knowing the web design, the size, and how much of the effort is going to be done by the customer.  Everyone wants to have a ballpark estimate before getting into a new project.  Below are some typical web project costs.
Web Development	Web Development costs span a wide range.  The web design may be simple to complex, it may include a database, it may be interactive, it may be small or large, it may include custom features, etc. $150 Family Photo web site with 3 sets of 12 photos for the user to scroll through. $200 Organization web site with 12 info pages, indexed into 4 categories. $400 Organization web site with 12 info pages, indexed into 4 categories, and an event calendar with the feature for the owner to add/delete/edit events $300 Small-Business web site with 12 info pages, indexed into 4 categories, with an option for the user to complete an online inquiry form that upon completion is emailed to the business contact.
Photo Touchup & Sizing	$50 20 photos touched up relative to brightness and contrast and resized as appropriate for the web.
Domain Registration	$15 Register a unique web name.
Web Implementation	$25 For a web without a database.  Web Implementation is a one-time fee for moving and configuring the developed web project on the web hosting server.  $50 For a web with a database.
Web Hosting	Web Hosting has primarily 4 factors that determine the hosting cost: the amount of disk space that is used, whether a database is part of the web, whether a unique domain is required, and the length of the hosting agreement.  JRC Web Services (JWS) provides web hosting in 6 month blocks of time.  Longer blocks of hosting result in a lower average monthly cost. $30 6 month hosting agreement for a small web with less than 50 mb of disk space. $50 6 month hosting agreement for a small web with a database and less than 50 mb of disk space. $60 6 month hosting agreement for a medium web with up to 500 mb of disk space. $20 Additional amount to a 6 month hosting agreement, if a unique domain is required.
